What is it? An annual Edina Service Unit tradition! Lace up those saddle shoes and put on your poodle skirt for an afternoon of 50's style fun. Dance like a Daddy'o to swingin' hits with many of your Girl Scout friends.
Don't forget to bring your own 50's style snacks.
Who is it for? All Girl Scouting levels
When: Saturday, April 11th, 12:00 to 2:00 pm. Check-In starts at 11:30 am
Where: South View Middle School, City Gym (enter at lower level, DOOR 1)
Cost: $10 per Girl Scout (includes patch)
Service: Donations of new socks or supplies to Minneapolis Crisis Nursery

Input your troop number in the box below and you'll be directed to payment. Cost is $10 per registered Girl Scout
SOCK HOP Permission Slip Troop leaders are required to collect permission slips from all Girl Scouts attending. Families can download and print the form via this PERMISSION FORM LINK (Note, the Sock Hop permission slip it is not an editable form, so you will need to print and give to your troop leader. Leaders: if you have a google account, download and make a copy for your troop)
The Sock Hop is a TROOP EVENT. Troops must check-in together at Registration at the beginning of the event. Individual girls are welcome as long as they have an adult on-site throughout the event. The Sock Hop is not a "drop off." If not her parent or troop leader, please make sure your Girl Scout knows who her grown-up is, and that the grown-up has agreed to this.
Note: We'll have a shared snack space for this year's Sock Hop. We will have several tables set up in the foyer for troops to have refreshments but we will not have space for each troop to have their own table. Please be prepared to share the space!
ICE CREAM FLOATS! This year, we'll be providing vanilla ice cream, cups and straws for troops to make their own floats! Participating troops should BYOS (Bring Your Own Soda) to make your own. Troops are welcome to bring other refreshments for their troop if they'd like.
All registered Girl Scouts will receive a fun patch. Siblings are welcome to attend the Sock Hop, but only Girl Scouts will receive a patch. Siblings are welcome to participate in the dance and soda floats. Leaders: please make sure your registration reflects your total numbers so we have enough floats for everyone!
