Pinewood Derby

The Girl Scouts are not hosting a pinewood derby for 2012. Please check back in 2013 and contact PWD@girlscoutsedina.org if you are interested in hosting this event in 2013.

What is it? Edina Girl Scouts of all ages can design and create a car to race at the 3rd annual Pinewood Derby - Girl Scout Style.

When : Saturday, March 19, 2011

Race : 1:00pm-3:00pm

Where : Normandale Lutheran Church Gym

6100 Normandale Road, Edina

Who : First 80 girls to register, any age

Cost : $9.00/girl : includes workshop at Leonardo's Basement

The race takes place on an 8 lane track with a computerized timing system that shows instant results and gathers all statistics. Awards are presented for special design categories as well as top finishers.

A special thanks goes out to Concord's Cub Scout Pack 62 for the use of their equipment and expertise. Thanks to Normandale Lutheran Church for holding this event in their gym. Boys race in the morning, girls in the afternoon.
