July 4th Parade

What is it?  Come show Edina how proud you are to be a Girl Scout by marching in our annual community parade.  Please join us as there will be flags and banners to carry and items to hand out.  

Who is it for?   All registered Girl Scouts! 

When:             Tuesday,  July 4th, 2023

Time:               Line up by 9:30am.  Willson Road will close by 8:00 am to car traffic for line up.  Late arrivals should use Normandale Road (West frontage road) South to Benton Avenue, left on Benton to Normandale Road, left on Normandale Road (East frontage road) to P2.  Please note: There is limited parking in the area and participants will most likely need to be dropped off nearby or walk to get to our spot in line.

Where:             Parade route (posted at https://edinaparade.org/news), Line up location on Willson Road. (Girl Scouts will be #46) Pick up: At the entrance of the old US Bank parking lot off 50th Street after the girls have finished walking.

Attire: See FAQs; remember to bring water in a water bottle and a hat!

Cost:               Free!     

RSVP: Please send an e-mail to April Wolfson if you are able to attend so that we know how many girls will be walking with us at the parade.  If you'd like to help with float & pre-parade prep, we welcome the extra hands.  We'll be gathering on Monday, July 3rd at 7:00 p.m.  Reach out to April for details.  

Be Prepared:   FAQs and Permission Slip (Please review the following documents.  Note: A permission slip is only required if you are not walking with your Girl Scout.)
