posted Mar 26, 2012, 12:53 PM by Unknown user

Cookie return days
Cookie return days are March 26–27 only. All metro council cookie cupboards plus Rochester will be open

from noon–6:30 p.m. to process returns. If you use a non-metro service unit cookie cupboard, please check

with your cupboard manager as each location sets its own hours.

At metro council cookie cupboards, please remain in your car and line up for the warehouse door where

cookies have been loaded into your car throughout the sale. A warehouse employee will count the cases

with you, unload the cases and issue you a receipt for the returns.

There will be no exchanges or pick ups on return days. If your troop would like to exchange cookies or needs

to pick up cookies, please use the Cookie Swap Wiki.

Cookie return policy

Should your troop return cookies? It depends on your viewpoint. Returning one case per girl is “free” for your

troop. But did you know that it means there will be $10.75 less per “free” case returned that is available to go

toward Girl Programs? Nearly half of cookie proceeds go toward the Girl Scout Leadership Experience which

includes troop, series, camp and event pathways, curriculum development, girl leadership training and

support, and too many more to list here. The remaining is split among member and volunteer support,

keeping our camps well-maintained and affordable, and retail services. For each case returned, that is

$10.75 less that will go toward camp upkeep, grants for underprivileged girls and Girl Programs.

Troops can continue to sell their remaining cookies to friends and family after the sale ends.

As a reminder, if the number of cases returned is:

• Less than or equal to the number of girls selling, as indicated in eBudde, the returned cases will be

removed from the troop’s inventory at no cost to the troop.

•  More than one case per girl selling, as indicated in eBudde, the returned cases will be removed from

the troop’s inventory. The troop is responsible for paying River Valleys the baker cost of the cookies

($10.75 per case) for each case returned in excess of the number of girls selling. The new balance

due amount will be updated by April 3 in the Sales Report tab

in eBudde.
